According to Press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA that as there is no Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani citizens faced difficulties in obtaining a visa to visit Vietnam.

Azerbaijani Embassy in Vietnam raised the issue on the facilitation procedures for the Azerbaijani citizens to obtain a Vietnam visa during the meetings held at the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As a result of consultations, visa procedures for the Azerbaijani citizens were facilitated. Thus, visa issuance will be available for the Azerbaijani citizens at the Vietnamese airports. It is enough to submit relevant travel documents by the Vietnamese tourism companies.

New rules on foreign workers proposed Sunday, May 19th, 2013 - 12:38 AM

Foreigners working in Vietnam without work permits would be expelled, according to a draft decree guiding the Labor Code’s provisions on foreign workers in Vietnam. 

Under the draft, foreigners working in Vietnam are those who enter the country to work in any of the following forms: (i) performing labor contracts; (ii) internal transfer within enterprises with commercial presence in Vietnam; (iii) performing contracts or agreements in the economic, trade, financial, banking, insurance, scientific and technical, cultural, sports, educational and health sectors; (iv) acting as contractual service providers; (v) offering services; (vi) working for foreign non-governmental organizations and international organizations licensed to operate in Vietnam; and (vii) working as volunteers.

One of the most important things in applying for an investment certificate by foreign investors in Vietnam is determination of the scope of investment and business through specifying their business lines. Such determination can help the investors not only gain initiatives in the initial process of investment application but also identify the scope of activities they are allowed to carry out in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong said the Netherlands has been one of the leading EU countries to provide non-refundable aid for Vietnam in the fields of education, science and technology, and environment.

Vietnam now has 160 projects with investment from the Netherlands , totalling 6 billion USD in registered capital, noted Hong.

Vietnam President receives foreign ambassadors Friday, May 17th, 2013 - 2:10 PM

Hanoi , May 16 (VNA) – President Truong Tan Sang received newly-appointed ambassadors from South Africa , Slovakia , Spain , Azerbaijan , Estonia and Nepal , in Hanoi on May 16.

Congratulating the ambassadors on their new position, Sang affirmed that relevant agencies of Vietnam will create all possible conditions for them to fulfill their tasks.

The ambassadors applauded Vietnam ’s growth pace and stable socio-economic situation and briefed the President on the current situation in their countries. They said they will do their utmost to boost cooperation with Vietnam .

This Circular guides the procedures for Exit and Entry Permit (form N18) for foreigners residing in Vietnam do not have passports but Resident Card issued by Vietnam.

The period of this license is shorter than Resident Card at least one (01) month and not be extended. It can not substitute the passport, does not specify the nationality of the grantee. Foreigners may be granted visa-free entry and exit out to Vietnam within the term of the license.
