Hoa My village situated in Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu District, Danang city.
To help the youth recall the custom “Uonh nuoc nho nguon”, totalize what they have achieved and to make plan for the following year, Hoa My village celebration is organized annually on the 12th January (Lunar Calendar). The reason why this celebration was organized early in the past was due to the battle. Not until 1994 was the event operated.
In Da nang City, Ca Ong celebration, the greatest event of fishermen, is named Whale festival. The Whale was venerated both because the fishermen’s respect for Gods and because of its connection to the wealth of the entire village. As the whales usually rescue the fishermen from unfortunate situations, they are called with the respectable title “Mr.”
People organized Avalokitesvara celebration annually at the Beautiful landscape of the Marble Mountains of Danang city.
As the celebration occurs at a fine natural place, it has interested a lot of journeyers for religion and visitors from other areas to the West of Marble Mountains. The competition named “keo co” is taken place on the village common. The yelling of people who participated in regattas can be heard in Co Co River. The event is much more alluring when it gets dark.
On the event of Liberation day of Da Nang City 29 March, the competition on Han River with the participation of many regional crews and Quang Nam Province was organized annually.
Traditional celebrations in Da Nang City – a lovely city by Han River – attract not only dwellers in Da Nang City but also visitors from other areas. Everyone takes the chance to devote their invocation for nice weather to accelerate the agricultural periods and to be more losers, for the support of forebear and to wish fortune to their close relatives and friends.
The park which located on Dien Bien Phu Street in the city center is reverse to Da Nang Supermarket. Covering an area of 21 hectare, this park comprises 10 hectare lake, many kinds of birds, trees, and animals. Surrounded by the fresh and cool atmosphere, many paths twist around rows of green trees, park benches under those cool tree shades.
